Eligibility Period
Songs released between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022 are eligible for the 2023 awards show.
Nomination Process
A confidential Sterling Committee made up of gospel music industry experts in various fields, will meet to decide on eligible entries in select categories, based on the S.G.M.A.’s Criteria.
Other categories will be open to the public for first round nominations. After this is complete, the top nominees in each category will move on to round two, for final voting.
Voting Process
S.G.M.A.’s Sterling Committee, is the official voting body for select categories.
Other categories will be opened to the public for voting.

Others:
- Songs must be released during the Eligibility Period Stipulated
- Artistes must be practising Christians
- Lyrics must reflect the beliefs and foundation of Christianity
- Song must receive frequent radio rotation
